Overview
Set in the Seven Valleys, less than an hour from Calais, Maison de Plumes is an 18th Century ‘Maison de Maitre’ which has been tastefully restored to its’ former glories, a renovation which would no doubt please the original Countess owner. The owners will warmly welcome you into their beautiful home with a chilled glass of bubbly. Unwind in the stunning Art Deco Lounge, whilst your bags are whisked away to your elegant bedroom with en-suite facilities.. Meet for Petit Four and Aperitifs before dinner, which is served in the Grand Dining Room. The Seven Valleys is a charming area, remarkably unspoilt with a wealth of cosy restaurants and vibrant markets where local fare is produced with pride. The Seven Valleys are easily reached from the Channel Ports and is on the main railway line which runs from Boulogne to Arras and not far from the A26 Autoroute.

The house is large but not so big as to detract from the fact that it is a family home.
The gardens ‘Les Jardins Blanche’ are set south facing and again are large and tranquil. Fragrant white flowers and songbirds will sooth the stresses of work.. Who knows, you may even hear the odd cow mooing lazily in the background. One thing is for sure, you will hear little traffic here! Simply lounge on the terrace with a cold beer or take a dip in the hot tub. Play garden games or enjoy a good book from our library..
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at your leisure not ours. We offer this in the dining room or your bedroom. Fresh croissants and breads, French cheeses & hams, home made jams. Delicious eggs from our corn fed hens, coffee, hot chocolate and teas… An indulgent way to start the day!
Lunch
We will happily serve you lunch with prior arrangement. If you wish to take advantage of a Picnic, this can also be arranged. Tarte Marie served with tossed salad, all washed down with a chilled vin blanc.. Delicious.
Dinner
After a day sight seeing, why not book a sumptuous dinner? We meet at around 7.30 in the lounge for petit four and aperitifs. Dinner is normally served at 8.00. A typical meal would consist of Seared Fois Gras on a bed of Rocquette followed by Pan Fried Duck Breast, Gratin Dauphinoise and seasonal vegetables. A full cheeseboard follows. Remember, we do offer Vegetarian options too!
All, naturally, served with the finest French wines. Eating in France is a very sociable experience, the hosts will join you whenever possible, if you so wish. Bon appetite!
Accommodation
Our Bedrooms are all individually designed. There is no corporate colour scheme here!
