Overview
La Prairie is in a lovely quiet spot yet ideally located for visiting all the Chateaux and Vineyards of the Loire Valley. Amboise, Chenonceau, Tours, Chambord, Langeais, Azay Le Rideau are an easy drive or slightly energetic cycle ride away! The farm dates from 1680 and is built in the local, creamy white Tuffeau Stone. The property is surrrounded by 20 acres of grassland (for our horses, which are available for specialist riding holidays or hourly rides), pretty gardens, several patios, a heated outdoor swimming pool, and two lovely lakes.
Accommodation
You will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of our 3 bed and breakfast rooms, the bedrooms have sitting areas of their own. There is also a kitchen for guests to use (for those snacks and drinks in the evenings), and a sitting room. These three rooms can also be rented as a self-catering Gite on a weekly basis. Outside you will find peace and tranquility in the gardens and of course our heated Swimming pool! All the rooms are of a very high quality, furnished with Antiques from around France many with old oak beams and Tuffeau stone walls. Each is named after flowers growing in the gardens and grounds. The bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, which are specially designed and equipped for your comfort.
Chambre Fuschia Sleeps 4; €120 / room / night An attractive Family room with a king size bed and 2 x single beds, a sitting area and large ensuite bathroom. Furnished with Antique Armoire, chevets etc... Balcony window overlooking the gardens and courtyard - a super room with the sun streaming in through the large window. Chambre Jonquil Sleeps 2; €50 - €75 / room / night A charming double room with King Size bed and ensuite bathroom - on the ground floor. Ideal for those who find stairs difficult - also furnished with superb Antiques in Cherry. The room has oak wood panelling and traditional stone walls. This bedroom is ideal for those who find stairs difficult and overlooks gardens to the front. It has it's own private entrance. Chambre Lilas Sleeps 2 to 4; €80 - €120 / room / night A very attractive Double/Family room with a King Size bed and 2 x single beds. There is a sitting area and a well equipped large ensuite bathroom. Traditional Norman Antiques in cherry fill the room. A well lit room, with Balcony window overlooking the gardens and courtyard.

LA PRAIRIE is located 10mins from the town of Saumur, 40mins from Tours, Blois is about an hour away to the East and Angers 30 min drive. We are perfectly located for visiting all the Chateaux and Vineyards of the Loire Valley and further afield!
