Overview
Chalet Amaryllis is a private family house with a relaxed atmosphere that can be enjoyed by groups of up to 12. It is owned by your hosts Mark and Victoria, who are passionate about good food and the ‘alpine experience’ and will help tailor make your holiday to suit. During the Summer we run on a bed and breakfast basis giving you the flexibility to explore the valley and surrounding area at your own pace; the added option of afternoon tea and dinner is however available if you prefer.
Accommodation
The house has four guest bedrooms each with their own bathroom, CD/MP3 player, hairdryer, towels, and bathrobes; the two 4 person rooms also have a TV and Xbox through which to play games or watch DVDs. The sitting area enjoys a number of deep all enveloping sofa’s, as well as a balcony that runs the length of the room. Outside, the garden includes a terrace and hot tub, and during the summer months, we are very happy for you to take advantage of the alpine weather and take your breakfast and dinner outside on the terrace, or under the shade of the trees - it’s your holiday, enjoy!
LE CRIOU Sleeps 2; €35 - €50 / person / night Le Criou is a double room with what we believe has one of the most comfortable beds known to man! A velux window above the bed will give you ample opportunity to gaze at Rochers du Criou that climbs to 2207 meters directly behind the house. The en-suite has a bath and shower to sooth the most aching of limbs. LE GRENIER Sleeps 2 to 4; €35 - €50 / person / night Le Grenier is a dual purpose bedroom that can be a family room with a double and two singles or a room for children with four single beds. Two of these single beds are nestled away on the mezzanine level reached by a sprial staircase! A TV and xbox in this room ensure children can be happily entertained whilst parents can relax downstairs. This room does not have an en-suite but has the sole use of the big bathroom across the landing which has a bath and shower. LE ROUSSE Sleeps 4; €35 - €50 / person / night Le Rousse is one of our family rooms which extends over 3 rooms sleeping 4. The main room has a king size double, while the second bedroom has a set of bunk beds with a television and xbox through which you can play games or watch dvds. The ensuite bathroom contains a wonderful large rose headed shower which will gently ease away any aching muscles from the days activities. Le Rousse also has a balcony from which to watch the world go by. LE VERREU Sleeps 2; €35 - €50 / person / night Le Verreu is either a twin room, or these singles can be joined to make a king size double bed. Being located on the first floor the occupants are given the opportunity to get to breakfast first as the irresistible smell of freshly baked home made bread drifts through the house. The en-suite uses the same shower as Le Rousse so you can enjoy the same luxurious alpine soaking!

The Area
The beautiful ancient village of Samoëns is one of the most easily accessible areas of the Alps, and has been awarded a coveted Coq d’Or for being one of the prettiest villages in France, as well as being the only ski resort that has been classified by the Caisse des Monuments Historique. Because of these prestigious accolades, the area has not fallen prey to the vast concrete structures of large tour operators that have become the signature of so many alpine resorts so we can guarantee that during your stay you will sample the ‘true’ France. From the beginning of spring the whole region unveils itself to countless activities that will satisfy the sports mad or the cultural enthusiast alike.
